Securities Industries Experience

Upon graduation from college, Mr. Desmond was hired by E.F. Hutton & Company to serve as a stockbroker in their Orlando office. While there he qualified to become a Certified Financial Planner and concentrated his efforts in personal financial planning for his clients. In his role as a financial planner, Mr. Desmond became thoroughly acquainted with all the securities products being offered to the investing public. Mr. Desmond lectured at numerous investment seminars during the time employed as a stockbroker and co-hosted the television show Inside Investing.

In 1984 Mr. Desmond left Florida to become a Member/Floor Trader on the New York Futures Exchange and an Options Trading Right Holder of the New York Stock Exchange. Additionally, Mr. Desmond became a Floor Trader/Options Principal Member of The American Stock Exchange. Mr. Desmond's company, L.W. Desmond & Company, became a registered broker dealer with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition to trading on behalf of L.W. Desmond & Company, Mr. Desmond joined the staff of Wagner Stott Clearing Corporation (Merrill Lynch Subsidiary) where he acted as the risk manager. As the risk manager he was required to understand the risks associated with all clients' investments.
